Currently, experts do not know exactly how long the virus can stay infectious because it is so new. The World Health Organization’s early estimates suggest that COVID-19 virus can survive on hard surfaces for a few hours, or up to several days. This may vary under different conditions (e.g. type of surface, temperature or humidity of the environment). If you think a surface may be infected, clean it with a bleach or alcohol based disinfectant to kill the virus and protect yourself and others. There is no advantage to using antibacterial soap versus regular soap against viruses.
