If you're in short supply of food and supplies, and think that going for groceries is an absolute need, you can go. But keep in mind to take appropriate precautions, wear a cloth face covering, use hand sanitizer if you touch surfaces, and maintain as much social distancing as possible. Also, try to make a list upfront and spend less time wandering around in the store. Additionally, think about stocking up some supplies so that you can reduce the number of trips over time.
If you believe you might be at a higher risk, consider asking a neighbor/community helper and/or relative to run to the store for you. Given the fact that COVID-19 has been proven to be especially dangerous for seniors with weak immune systems, it is highly recommended to avoid groups of seniors.
